Cocoon
A few nights ago Oz was getting very fussy and just couldn't find a way to settle down and be happy. I grabbed this big IMMENSELY (like so much so that you can't believe it) soft comforter we have and wrapped him up in it on the floor while I folded laundry. He loved it, calmed down and now it's become a nightly ritual. Tonight he sits in his "cocoon" while he watches his favorite movie, "Baby Miracle - Jonah and the Whale".

That's Not New Baby!
I'm REALLY not one for the Superbowl - I saw about 5 minutes of the last one. Enough to hear Jeff go on about the last call not being reviewed and how CRAAAAZY that was. I took his word for it.
I don't even care about the "awesome" commercials everybody gathers around to see. Any other day we all can't stop complaining about them but then suddenly on Superbowl Sunday they apparently become PURE ENTERTAINMENT.
I will say that seeing The Boss perform for a couple minutes took me back, my Dad was a big Bruce fan and us kids knew all his songs growing up. He sure is getting old though (Bruce, not my Dad - well actually. . .) but weirdly sounds exactly the same.
Anyway, my very bestest friend posted this commercial from a previous Superbowl and it actually made me laugh out loud, a lot. So I had to share it with MY readers. You know, all 3 of you (one being this friend).

Agro and New Socks
Meet Agro, our new fish. He's named after Steve Irwin's favorite crocodile - I mentioned our love of Steve right? Right??
Anyway, he has only been with us for a couple of hours and already we can tell he's a different fish than Steve-o was. He's smaller, faster and fiestier - I think he must be pretty young. He seems to really like hanging out at the bottom of his bowl (hopefully not an omen of things to come), but then can zip to the top so fast I worry he'll come flying out.
Welcome to the family Agro!
In other equally important and RIVETING news, I bought Rome some new socks. When you see the picture below you will fully understand how important this was. The top two socks are the two sizes he's had for I don't know how long - the middle being from his "bigger" pairs. The bottom is one of the new ones. The bottom one fits him, really. That's how long it's been since I've bought him new socks. Poor Rome. Pardon me while I hang my head in shame.

A VERY Short Story
The kids and I were on the deck eating lunch when Rome turned to me and said he had a story to tell. It went pretty much exactly like this:
Once upon a time there was a Daddy spider. His name. . . was Daddy.
Then he pooped on the ground.
This was followed by HYSTERICAL laughing from both him and Capri.
Ok, from me too.

It's Business Time Jenny
I saw this on my friend Emily's blog. I laughed so hard I nearly fell out of our hand-me-down pink wingback chair from my Dad's old office in DC. That's right. . .pink.
Enjoy.
Then, while I was looking on Youtube I found this. And I DID fall out of our hand-me-down pink wingback chair from my Dad's old office in DC.
Josh will be so proud.
